At the invitation of Professor László Hunyady, our Nobel Prize-winning guest, Brian Kobilka, paid a brief visit to our Institute on the morning of June 25, 2026. On this occasion, three of our young colleagues—Dóra Judit Kiss, Ádám Misák, and László Dobson—gave short presentations related to his field of research, followed by discussions. Afterwards, participants had the opportunity to ask questions, leading to a valuable exchange of ideas.

In the afternoon, Professor Kobilka delivered his inaugural lecture entitled “G Protein-Coupled Receptors: Challenges and New Approaches to Drug Discovery” in the ceremonial hall of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, where he was elected an honorary member of the Academy.

Congratulations on this distinguished recognition!
