Mission
INTRODUCTION
BIC is committed to fulfil its mission to achieve excellence in development of MRI methods and their application in basic, clinical and translational neuroimaging. Major objectives:
- Development of precision, dense-sampling neuroimaging approaches to improve data quality and machine learning tools for robust and model-based neuroimaging and behavioural data analysis.
- Multimodal research on longitudinal changes in cognitive functions and structural and functional brain organization across the lifespan, with an emphasis on precision neuroimaging of neurocognitive aging in health and disease.
- Development of personalised multidomain interventions supporting healthy brain ageing and using these interventions to uncover the mechanisms of neurocognitive reserve and resilience.
In addition, BIC continuously develops its state-of-the-art neuroimaging infrastructure, in broad collaboration with academic, research and industrial partners in order to foster the expansion of basic, clinical and translational neuroimaging research within Hungary.
