On 6-7 March, ÖMKIBME, and HUN-REN Research Centre for Natural Sciences (HUN-REN RCNS) are hosting a major international bioeconomy conference at the HUN-REN RCNS in Budapest, Hungary.

The event will highlight current issues on the development of the bioeconomy in Central and Eastern Europe through presentations and workshop sessions, in the context of BIOEAST’s medium-term plans and the upcoming Hungarian EU Presidency. Detailed information on the scope and the planned programme of the BIOEAST Bioeconomy Conference can be found in the attachment and on the BIOEAST website.

We believe that the event offers an excellent opportunity for networking. Among the participants, there will be delegates from the ministries of agriculture of 11 Eastern European EU Member States, as well as many representatives of the bio-based industries from our region and beyond. Thomas Narbeshuber, vice president of BASF, and Dirk Carrez, executive director of the Bio-based Industries Consortium, have already confirmed their attendance.

There is no conference fee, but registration is required. You can register until 23 February at the following link: BIOEAST Bioeconomy Conference.

We are looking forward to welcoming you, as well your colleagues and business partners at the event!
