Who we are: At the DNA Repair Laboratory, housed within the HUN-REN Research Centre for Natural Sciences, our primary objective is to enhance our understanding of DNA repair processes and leverage this knowledge to pinpoint new vulnerabilities in diseases such as cancer or neurodegeneration. Currently we are focusing on how terminally differentiated cells handle DNA lesions in contrast to actively replicating cells. Using state-of-the-art techniques in genomics, proteomics, biochemistry, and molecular and cell biology, we strive to decipher the differences in DNA repair processes between healthy individuals and those affected by cancer or neurodegenerative diseases.

What we are looking for: We invite applications from candidates holding a BSc or MSc degree in Life Sciences, with theoretical knowledge in molecular biology. Preference will be given to candidates with hands-on experience in either cell biology, biochemistry, or bioinformatics.
